And that's Sweden, Denmark and Germany done as we're set to do 5 countries in 5 days. We've now landed in Strasbourg for the night. The little German town we randomly stayed in overnight (Hildesheim) was a wonderful place, apparently the oldest city in North Germany (we're talking the first millenium A.D.). We even stumbled across a brass band playing for the night!! Seriously, roadtrips should be done more often.

Pink P(l)anters
The girls are enjoying some planting during another sunny day in Bjarred, seems like its one of the sunnier spots in Sweden. The rest of our time there we spent (largely) at, or on our way to, or back from, various playgrounds. Nothing like it in taking a few years off.

Doing Skanes beaches
Despite a pretty impressive wind and shaky interchangeable weather we've been doing the beaches around Osterlen over the past few days, visiting both the coast by Vik (pictured by "Prastens badkar" or the "Priest's Bathtub") and Sandhammaren. There's something pretty special about being all alone on a massive sandy beach, no matter how windy it is.

Ales Stenar
We couldn't spend time in Sweden without a visit to "Sweden's Stonehenge", or Ales Stenar (being youthful Swedes, ours is 2,500 years younger). It was a beautiful mystical misty day and after admiring the stones, we had some fried herring with lingonberries.
Tom and I...
... (and Maria) having a shrimp sandwich at the Grand hotel. There's a saying about silver spoons and growing up, I think we set Tom well and truly off on that path and I think I can actually see a little smile on his face.
Time flies...
Staying about is obviously much harder work than walking about, I've barely had time to blog... Or perhaps its just that never ending thing about priorities. I've had a pretty packed few weeks since Italy, living the high-life in London, DIY-ing a flat in Queens Park, visiting old beloved friends in Stockholm, wrestling and awaiting news about ash-clouds, admiring what Spring does to Notting Hill and have now finally made it back to my family in south Sweden.
Whilst in London I yet again had the wonderful pleasure of staying with my dear Walkers. One of the top adventures was watching my boyfriend Alexander (yes I'm that popular) eat real food for the first time (if rice porridge can be called real food). He had quite an audience as well.
